Levels for English Courses
Understanding your English proficiency level is crucial for setting learning goals and measuring progress. English levels range from beginner to proficient, helping learners identify where they stand and what they need to improve.
Whether you’re starting with basic phrases, refining conversational skills, or aiming for near-native fluency, knowing your level guides your learning journey and helps you achieve your language objectives efficiently.
- Beginner (A1-A2): Basic understanding and communication in everyday situations.
- Intermediate (B1-B2): Can handle most conversations, read simple texts, and write basic emails.
- Advanced (C1): Can understand complex ideas, speak fluently, and write detailed texts.
- Proficient (C2): Near-native speaker level, able to understand, speak, and write about any topic with ease.

English Course Schedule
Our English Language Courses offer a myriad of programs in the English language, catering to all your needs in learning. Whether you need a part-time option or a full-time immersive experience, we have a program available for you:
Morning English (15 hours/week): Attend classes for English Communication from Block 1 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM and Block 2 from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM. This course will suit students with a flexible schedule looking to improve their language skills.
Semi-Intensive English (20 hours/week): Spend more time studying English Communication skills. This course includes everything in the Morning English course but adds some more in-depth classes to improve proficiency.
Intensive English: 25 hours/week—This course provides a full immersion experience. It includes all of the components of Semi-Intensive English, plus elective courses in the afternoon. Blocks would be 3: 1:00 PM-1:55 PM and Block 4: 2:05 PM-3:00 PM. Electives allow you to personalize your education according to your interests and goals.

Admission Requirements
When considering enrollment in the English courses, prospective students should be aware of the specific admission requirements designed to ensure a successful and enriching educational experience.
This program has been approved by PTIRU.
Other Admission Requirements
- Proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency for domestic students
- International students require a valid passport.
- Students aged 15 or younger require a signed consent form from their parent or legal guardian.
Level Requirements
Pre-Foundation: None
Foundation Course: Successful completion of Pre-Foundation General English and/or the student’s current level must be assessed at a Foundation level on intake day.
Pre-Intermediate Course: Successful completion of Foundation General English and/or the student’s current level must be assessed at a Pre-Intermediate level on intake day.
Intermediate Course: Successful completion of Pre-Intermediate General English and/or the student’s current level must be assessed at an Intermediate level on intake day.
Upper-Intermediate Course: Successful completion of Intermediate General English and/or the student’s current level must be assessed at an Upper Intermediate level on intake day.
Advanced Course: Successful completion of Upper Intermediate General English and/or the student’s current level must be assessed at an Advanced level on intake day.
